Beach club, VIP spaces, free shuttle from Marrakech… Famous Beach is the kind of pool day that goes way beyond a simple swim.
A day that feels like a holiday within your holiday
When visitors ask me how to truly unwind in Marrakech — away from the bustle of the Médina, out in the sun, cold drink in hand — my mind goes straight to Famous Beach Marrakech. This beach club, set on the Route de l'Ourika at km 10, offers something very few places in the city can match: a complete, all-in pool party experience in a setting designed so you don't have to worry about a thing.
I've taken several groups there, and every time, the reaction at the end of the day is the same: "Why didn't we come sooner?" That's exactly why I'm writing about it here.
What's included (and it's generous)
What I especially appreciate about Famous Beach is how straightforward the package is. Depending on the option you choose, you get a private bed or a private jacuzzi, with dedicated service right at your spot. No need to dash to the bar or queue up: your spending credit is included and covers drinks, cocktails, food and even shisha. Towels are provided, and access to the main pool is included.
In practice, you arrive, you settle in, and the day really begins. That kind of detail makes all the difference when you want to enjoy yourself without keeping one eye on the bill with every order.
The free shuttle: genuine logistical ease
Famous Beach runs a free daily shuttle from four pick-up points across Marrakech. I think it's one of the venue's biggest strengths, especially for those who aren't renting a car:
- KFC Guéliz: departures at 12:15, 14:15 and 15:25
- Secret Room: departures at 12:20, 14:20 and 15:30
- Menara Mall (in front of Paul): departures at 12:25, 14:25 and 15:35
- 555 Hotel Clubbing: departures at 12:35, 14:35 and 15:45
Return trips are organised at 18:00 and 19:00 (a few minutes' variation possible depending on traffic). A private transfer is also available on request if you prefer more flexibility.
The VIP spaces: private beds and jacuzzis
What sets Famous Beach apart from an ordinary public pool is the premium beach club atmosphere you feel from the moment you arrive. The private beds are comfortable and well spaced out; the private jacuzzis add a spa dimension to the day. Dedicated service at your spot creates a luxury resort feel, just a few kilometres from the city centre.
For a birthday, a hen do, a group outing or simply a day for yourself, the VIP space truly shifts the tone of the whole experience. I particularly recommend it for groups who want to make it special.
What you need to know before booking
A few practical points to keep in mind so your day runs smoothly:
- Minimum age: 18 — access is restricted to adults.
- Booking is mandatory, at least 5 days before your chosen date. A 15% deposit is required via secure payment link or instant transfer; the balance is settled on-site in cash or by card.
- Cancellation: no refund or cancellation is possible within 5 days of the booked date. Keep that in mind if your schedule is uncertain.
- For a last-minute request, the best option is to contact them directly on WhatsApp to check real-time availability.
Any spending beyond the included credit, tips (optional) and additional services remain your responsibility — nothing surprising, but good to know in advance.
My advice if you're still on the fence
Marrakech in summer can be intense. The Médina, the souks, the cultural visits — all of it takes energy and deserves to be savoured. But a day at Famous Beach is the perfect counterpoint: you come back to the city rested, clear-headed, ready to dive back into the energy of it all.
